The newly established Rho Tau chapter of Lambda Nu at 鶹ɫƬ celebrated its first induction and pinning ceremony on April 5 with the induction of 33 GC students and six faculty members.

GC’s Rho Tau chapter was established this year by GC Radiation Therapy Program Director Sandra Hayden and her students. Assisting Hayden as the organization’s advisor is GC Nuclear Medicine Program Director Courtney Cross.

“The inaugural Rho Tau chapter of Lambda Nu Honor Society for the radiologic and imaging sciences at 鶹ɫƬ was a great success,” said Hayden. “We were able to honor our students and faculty for their achievements in academics, community service, scholarship, integrity and enthusiasm, which are shown through their hard work and dedication.”

During the ceremony, Cross had the honor of pinning the 39 new student and faculty members for their achievements.

“Induction into an honor society like Lambda Nu is a testament to one's academic excellence and commitment to the radiologic and imaging sciences field,” said GC’s Lambda Nu President, Hiren Patel. “Joining Rho Tau, a chapter of Lambda Nu, provides new inductees with various opportunities to advance their education and professional growth. Overall, being a part of Rho Tau Chapter of Lambda Nu allows new inductees to join a community of like-minded individuals who share their passion and can offer support and encouragement as they navigate their academic and professional journey.”
