Presenters

  • Dr. Stephanie Sutton has over 30 years of higher education experience advancing student services and success initiatives in direct alignment with Lorain County Community College’s Vision 2.0 priority one to “Drive Student Completion for Academic and Career Success.” Dr. Sutton most recently served as the Associate Provost of Enrollment Management & Student Success at Lorain County Community College (LCCC). She is a proud graduate of the community college system and worked in various positions including Director of Financial Aid and Dean of Enrollment, Financial, and Career Services, as well as an adjunct faculty member.

As Associate Provost, Dr. Sutton provided student-centered leadership for the Enrollment, Financial & Career Services division including Counseling, Advising, Admissions, Records, Financial Aid, Student Accounts, Career Services, Disability Services, and Testing and Assessment.  In addition, she served as the campus co-lead for the college’s student success initiatives including Achieving the Dream and Completion by Design.  

Dr. Sutton received her Associate of Applied Business Degree from Lorain County Community College.  She continued her education and received a Bachelor’s of Arts from Cleveland State University graduating Summa cum Laude.  She received her Master’s in Public Administration from Walden University and her Doctorate in Education with a specialization in Educational Leadership and Management through Capella University.  Dr. Sutton has presented at the state and national level on financial aid, enrollment services, guided pathways, and student success initiatives.  She also serves on non-profit Boards; served on the Ohio Department of Higher Education Multiple Measures Assessment Committee; and is a past president of the Ohio Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators.

  • A proven public system expert and community leader, Hannah Garside
    provides effective solutions to navigating complex challenges in the
    workplace and community. With 20+ years of working in the public and
    non-profit sector, Hannah has served people groups from all walks of life.
    Truly embracing the philosophy that “it takes a village” she has developed
    partnerships cross-sector and cross-culturally which provide valuable
    resources to her clients and matched prospective interests. In this ever
    evolving “village” with multiple people groups coming together for the greater
    good of the community and businesses. Hannah emphasizes enhancing
    social capital through inclusion, quality engagement strategies, and culturally
    compatible policies and practices.

In addition to founding and leading her own non-profit initiatives, she works on strategies to ensure effective outreach to neighborhood residents, organizations, and businesses alongside stakeholders that desire to invest in development of people, neighborhoods, and economic growth. The trickle down is a
vibrant, community minded village where everyone has an opportunity to pursue happiness.

Hannah serves on the board of the Texas Federation for the People and is the recipient of the 2020 Know Your Worth Community Leader of the Year presented by Wellmark/BCBS for her work to reduce disparity in interests affecting the African-American community. She also has three amazing children, a 4 year old
grandson, enjoys taking adventures, and cooks like a pro in her home kitchen.

  • Zach Johnson is a seasoned Business Consultant at Workforce Solutions, leveraging over a year of experience in the role. Drawing from his background in the Mental Health field, Zach brings a depth of expertise in supporting individuals. Over the past year, Zach has forged strong relationships with numerous senior employers across various industries, demonstrating his adeptness at networking and partnership building to help build a strong workforce through partnership and leverage services to help employers solve there workforce problems.
